About Us
 
The mission of the AC Moore PTO is to support our teachers and students as outlined in our Bylaws  and our goals listed below.  Numerous parents volunteer to help with day-to-day activities at ACM.  Others give of their time helping with fundraisers or special events.  It is the desire of ACM’s PTO to work together to enhance the learning environment at our school.  General membership meetings are planned during the school year for all parents and teachers.

 

A family membership in the ACM PTO is $5.00.  This covers the price of printing the school directory. When you join PTO you will receive an ACM sticker and can be included in the PTO’s directory.  Remember, you do not have to join the PTO in order to volunteer for PTO activities.  

 
 

We invite you to attend PTO meetings and volunteer whenever possible. If you would like specific information on the various committees and the work they do, please feel free to contact the appropriate person listed here.


ACM PTO Goals for 2009-2010

 

·        Send PTO Updates with a calendar of events including a description of each event and details

·        Recruit for diversity in PTO and reach out to the Hispanic Community

·        Establish Homeroom Parents for each homeroom

·        Build partnerships with local businesses

·        Encourage and model a Recycling Campaign

·        Communicate to parents and teachers through E-mail Blasts

·        Create better visibility of PTO through membership drives, a wall display, and general meetings

·        Highlight PTO Board members in the school directory, send the directory out earlier in the year, and include e-mail addresses

·        Provide better information for new parents through orientation and possible mentors for new families

·   Organize the PTO Workroom

·   Make a plan for “hassle free” donations
